As a Design Transfer & Manufacturing Engineer, you will be the vital link between our R&D and Operations – ensuring that new medical devices are not only designed but manufactured smoothly and efficiently, meeting the highest quality and regulatory standards. In this role, you will be involved in and influence the entire process, from concept to finished product, helping our innovations reach customers safely and effectively, and making a tangible difference in how they experience and benefit from our products.
About the Role
As a Design Transfer & Manufacturing Engineer, you will bridge R&D and Operations for our medical assistive technology products. You will ensure that product designs are robustly transferred into manufacturing, with clear specifications, traceability, and readiness for internal production and external subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
Lead design transfer activities from R&D to Operations in compliance with ISO 13485 and applicable regulatory requirements.
Support translating product designs into manufacturing-ready documentation (BOMs, drawings, specifications, work instructions).
Ensure product and process traceability across design, manufacturing, and supply chain.
Define and maintain manufacturing specifications for internal operations and external subcontractors.
Lead industrialization and scale-up, including pilot builds and transfer to serial production.
Collaborate closely with R&D, Quality, internal manufacturing and external subcontractors.
Support change management, ensuring controlled updates to manufacturing documentation.
About You
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, Industrial, or similar).
Multi-year experience from MedTech or other tightly regulated manufacturing environments.
Hands-on experience with design transfer, NPI, and/or industrialization.
Strong understanding of manufacturing documentation, traceability, and supplier interfacing.
Structured, collaborative, and detail-oriented mindset.
Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and turn requirements into practical solutions.
