Quality Assurance Specialist

Do you want to combine structure with collaboration, and details with continuous improvement? As a Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist at Abilia, you will work across the entire product lifecycle together with colleagues and suppliers, sometimes focusing on proactive audits and data analysis, and sometimes on solving problems in development, in production and/or in the supply chain.
This role suits someone who enjoys variety: from ensuring compliance and supporting daily operations to analyzing trends and driving improvements that make a real difference. You will have the opportunity to grow and to influence how we ensure and strengthen quality throughout the product lifecycle, with the clear aim of delivering robust and reliable products.
The role is based in Solna, Stockholm, and belongs to the Operations organization and reports to the Abilia Quality Manager.
Key responsibilities
Quality system & suppliers
- Act as internal quality auditor (ISO 13485)
- Conduct supplier audits and follow up on findings
- Support internal teams and suppliers in developing robust and sustainable quality practices
Problem solving & improvements
- Manage product quality issues and lead root cause analysis (RCA)
- Lead structured problem-solving efforts (e.g. 8D)
- Drive and implement improvements together with suppliers and internal teams
Product quality control
- Contribute to product testing and inspections to ensure compliance with specifications
- Contribute to developing and maintaining testing protocols for incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods
Data & analysis
- Analyze quality metrics to identify trends and risks
- Track and document defect rates, causes of failures, and corrective actions
Who are you and what background are we looking for?
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life science, or related field – or equivalent experience
- Experience: Minimum 2-5 years' work experience within quality assurance, preferably in a regulated environment
- Competence: Good knowledge of management systems and standards (e.g. ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485)
- Experience: Quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, Six Sigma etc. is an advantage
- Proficiency: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Language: Professional proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Personal: A hands-on team player with the ability to combine structure with continuous improvements
